The Stress Vulnerability Bucket Model
This animation was developed for the NHSGGC Institute of Neuropsychology at Glasgow’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH). It explains the Stress Vulnerability Bucket model, which helps patients understand how stress impacts their mental health. Originally designed for individuals suffering from Dissociative Seizures, the video was adapted for broader use to address general stress. Part of a larger NHS toolkit for the Right Decisions App, the video received positive feedback from both patients and practitioners, who found it a valuable resource in managing stress and dissociative disorders.
Clinical Theories of Dissociation
In collaboration with the NHSGGC Institute of Neurological Sciences and Professor Richard Brown of Manchester University, this animation simplifies the five main theories of dissociation. Despite the complexity of the subject, the video presents the information clearly, helping patients grasp their condition in a more digestible way. By offering this insight, the video empowers individuals with Dissociative Disorders to better understand and manage their experiences.
CareSpeak Demo
Experience the CareSpeak service through "Chris," a fictional service user. This animated demo introduces Chris’s unique personality, daily needs, and preferences, giving caregivers an engaging and informative view into his care requirements. It covers his medication protocols, daily routine support, and his likes and dislikes, all in Chris’s own words. This demo shows how CareSpeak helps staff quickly understand each individual’s needs, enhancing personal connection and improving care quality.
Awake Craniotomy - Video Leaflet
AlbaWell Media was commissioned by NHSGGC Neurosurgery to create an informative video leaflet for patients preparing for the Awake Craniotomy procedure. This hybrid production combines live-action interviews with key medical personnel and engaging animations to deliver a comprehensive, visually engaging guide on what patients can expect before, during, and after surgery.
Designed as a mini-documentary on a modest budget, the video balances professional insight with patient-friendly communication, providing an invaluable resource for demystifying a complex procedure.
