Hello

My name is Sean McBain, and I am the Founder and Creative Director of AlbaWell Media. My journey began in Engineering, working in the Oil and Gas industry across Brazil, Norway, Denmark, and the UK. Alongside this technical career, I've always been a creative force, producing seven solo music albums and collaborating with various artists over the years.

In 2016, I shifted direction, pursuing a degree in Psychology from the Open University while working in Social Care with adults with learning difficulties. I was honoured to win an award for Service Innovation during my time with Enable Scotland. This set the stage for my career in mental health, where I worked within NHS Community Mental Health Teams before graduating with First-Class Honours in Psychology.

Following this, I took on the role of Assistant Psychologist with the Institute of Neurosciences at Glasgow’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Tasked with creating patient resources, I quickly recognised a major gap in digital content within health and social care. Using my creative background, I crafted digital tools to help clinicians deliver therapeutic information more effectively to patients.

I founded AlbaWell Media with a clear mission: to bring health and social care information into the digital age, meeting the needs of today’s technology-driven world. At AlbaWell, we combine clinical expertise and creativity to provide cutting-edge animated content that transforms how healthcare information is communicated.
